Financial Crime Analyst Crypto/Digital Assets (English) - On Site

About the role

EY GDS Spain is looking to integrate a Senior Consultant into its Financial Risk Business Consulting practice in Malaga, working on international projects in the Financial Crime area. The consultant supports clients in choosing the most suitable business solution and takes part in digital transformation, working on international projects with new technologies and approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze blockchain transactions and wallet activity to identify suspicious patterns, trace fund flows and support financial crime investigations across digital asset networks.
• Review and analyze digital asset transactions to detect unusual activity, assess financial crime risk and ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations.
• Apply "Know Your Business" procedures to validate and assess corporate customers against AML, sanctions and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and update financial crime compliance policies and procedures, and carry out risk assessments.
• Provide functional support for the design and development of AML technological tools.
• Report to senior management and act as a quality check for the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or engineering degree.
• 1-3 years of experience in money laundering and terrorist financing prevention in the financial sector, on L2 investigations, STR/SAR reporting and complex investigations.
• Training and specific experience in money laundering and terrorist financing.
• High level of English (C1).
• Availability to work 100% on site in the Malaga office.
• Ideal candidates: experience with tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs or Elliptic; financial sector, fintech, VASP or gaming/betting experience; US market customer experience; Big Four or similar background.
