Food Service Attendant (Contingency)

About the role

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey, providing program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare and recreation support. As a Food Service Attendant you help with all food service tasks, following the cooks' instructions and sometimes those of the shift supervisors on duty. The work is labour-intensive because of long hours and food prepared on demand.

Key responsibilities

• Serve and replenish food on the serving line.
• Clean and sanitize equipment according to proper procedures.
• Notify cooks when food or supplies are running low during a meal.
• Operate the dishwasher following posted procedures.
• Assist the cook with food preparation and prepare and serve grilled food using standard recipes.
• Check food temperatures.
• Always wear a clean uniform and the required personal protective equipment.
• Work shifts, complete all required training and follow all safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Food Handler's Certificate.
• High school diploma.
• At least one year of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• English level I; English level II preferred.

Preferred qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English at level II.
• Computer skills.
• Experience serving food in a military environment.
• Experience working in groups and teams.
