Food Service Baker (Contingency)

About the role

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey, providing program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare and recreation support under a five-year contract. The Food Service Baker prepares, mixes and bakes pastries and other baked goods, following recipes and keeping quality and consistency high, in a shift environment that provides round-the-clock customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Bake pastries according to the daily food production log using standard recipes
• Display pastries professionally
• Assist the cook with food preparation and prepare and serve grilled food
• Check food temperatures and help serve and replenish food on the serving line
• Clean and sanitize equipment and utensils, and keep the kitchen, serving line and dining room tidy
• Follow safety guidelines, complete required training, wear a clean uniform and PPE, work with minimum supervision and follow the cook's and shift supervisor's instructions

Required profile

• Food Handler's Certificate
• High school diploma
• At least one year of experience in a restaurant or bakery environment
• English level I; preferred: ability to read, write and speak English

Preferred qualifications

• Computer skills
• Experience serving food in a military environment
• Experience working in groups and teams
