French Speaking Customer Service Representative

About the role

Axalta, a coatings company with a global presence, is looking for a French-speaking Customer Service Representative to join its team at its facility in Asturias. The role is a key position within the team and acts as the primary customer interface for external customers, distributors, potential customers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process all types of customer orders, including complex ones and processes such as laboratory work requests or sample sending.
• Monitor open orders, product availability and lead times so that deliveries arrive on time.
• Work closely with the business team, sales representatives and the back office to meet customer requirements and understand the market.
• Understand the cash collection process, resolve open credit issues with customers on request and issue invoice adjustments.
• Follow desk procedures in line with SOX, ISO and other requirements.
• Handle customer service and product complaints and returns according to the Complaint Management process and return policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience.
• Fluency in English and French; Spanish is beneficial as the role is based in Spain.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused, team player able to work under pressure.
• Advantageous: about 2 years of experience in customer service or supply chain/logistics within an international company.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Good knowledge of SAP.
