Functional Tester progressing to Functional Analyst in AA team

About the role

SD Worx is looking for a Functional Tester who will evolve into a Functional Analyst within the AA team. You will work on three critical applications – the Business Leader Tool, SportsPay and Finbox – ensuring their quality, reliability and legal compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, product owners and payroll/domain experts to translate customer needs into reliable solutions.
• Analyse user stories, processes and business rules, turning vague expectations into concrete test scenarios.
• Execute functional and regression tests, verify calculations, workflows, business rules and legal requirements.
• Investigate deviations and production issues, document findings and follow through to resolution.
• Gradually take on functional‑analysis tasks such as clarifying business questions, writing user stories, acceptance criteria and tracking features from analysis to production.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in functional testing or software quality assurance.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented and able to trace issues to their root cause.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Willingness to deepen knowledge in payroll, accounting, tax regulations and related domains.
