About the role

Lear Corporation is looking for a recognized expert in automotive electronics reliability, with a passion for solving complex technical challenges and leading high-performing teams. The role combines deep analytical expertise with strong leadership, guiding teams through uncertainty and delivering robust, reliable products. It is based in Valls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and govern global reliability engineering activities from RFQ and design phase through field performance.
• Assess mission profiles, define assumptions and set reliability and confidence level targets to support business and customer decisions.
• Oversee life data analysis, accelerated testing correlation and product risk assessment based on field and warranty data.
• Support virtual validation reliability analysis to assess its correlation with physical testing.
• Act as the technical authority for complex, safety-relevant or high-impact failure analysis cases.
• Lead root cause investigations, failure hypothesis definition and controlled failure signature reproduction.
• Represent Lear in senior-level technical discussions with customers and suppliers during escalations.
• Develop, mentor and lead the Reliability and Failure Analysis team, including succession planning and skills development.
• Promote a culture of data-driven, risk-based decision making across the organization.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Electronics, Materials Science, Physics or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in automotive electronics reliability and failure analysis.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and technical experts.
• Solid knowledge of automotive standards and strong stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
