Head of Technology – Ecommerce

About the role

Netenders, a wholesale provider of blank apparel and a fast-growing global player, is looking for a Head of IT to lead its technology efforts. You will manage the internal IT team, work with remote vendors to build and maintain the e-commerce platforms, and work closely with the CEO and COO to define the technology strategy, oversee infrastructure and nurture technical talent.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute an e-commerce technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, track market trends and adopt industry best practices.
• Design, deploy and manage technical infrastructure for e-commerce frontend, backend and native apps, guaranteeing uptime, security and reliability.
• Recruit, mentor and oversee tech teams focused on Ruby on Rails and React, fostering continuous learning.
• Analyze technical and operational KPIs and drive performance improvements.
• Lead the development and launch of new platform features, ensuring code quality, timelines and budget.
• Oversee website rollouts, including Google campaign launches and Google feed integrations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in technical leadership roles, with a strong preference for e-commerce expertise.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of e-commerce technologies, cloud architectures, CMS and databases.
• Proficiency in Ruby and Rails.
• Experience with Google Merchant Center, Google Analytics, Google Shopping and Google Ads.
• Online analytics and advertising tools are an advantage.

• Salary of €65,000 - €80,000 gross per year.
