Health & Safety Specialist (Fixed-Term 6 Months)

About the role

Amex GBT is looking for a Health & Safety Specialist for a six-month fixed-term contract to join its team and actively contribute to the safety and health of its people, promote a preventive culture internally and continuously improve working conditions. The role is based in Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations within the company
• Carry out hygiene measurements in coordination with the external prevention service
• Prepare and update preventive procedures, instructions and documentation
• Follow up on medical check-ups and mandatory workplace safety training
• Handle prevention issues, job adaptations, medical restrictions, temporary incapacity and return-to-work cases, coordinating with mutual aid societies, medical services, legal and external suppliers
• Coordinate with mutual aid societies on absenteeism levels
• Manage general and specific risk assessments and follow up corrective measures from psychosocial assessments
• Coordinate corporate activities with clients and suppliers and take part in the Safety and Health Committee

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention with all three specialities
• At least 3 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations
• Problem-solving attitude, professional maturity, technical judgement and decision-making ability
• Good communication and ability to liaise with different business areas
