Hotel Maintenance Engineer – Full Time

About the role

This position is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and maintaining the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The engineer works independently with minimal supervision, ensuring preventive maintenance and quick resolution of issues.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of tools and equipment.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; carry necessary equipment on shift.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building systems.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved programs.
• Conduct mid‑level troubleshooting of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.
• Serve as Engineer on Duty, performing rounds and readings.

Required profile

• Ability to work with little supervision and follow safety policies.
• Experience in at least one of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicle maintenance, or energy conservation.
• Basic knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and safe tool use.
• Capability to train and mentor junior engineers.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies.

• Plumbing, including PVC and copper pipe repair (soldering).

• Carpentry, finish work, and minor drywall repairs.
• Kitchen equipment and vehicle maintenance.
• Preventive maintenance software, energy‑management tools, and lockout/tagout procedures.
