HR & Payroll Specialist with German

About the role

Strada, a people, payroll and technology leader operating in more than 180 countries, is looking for an HR & Payroll Specialist with German. The specialist handles the full life cycle of payroll transactions so that payrolls are processed accurately and on time, supporting company and payroll policies.

Key responsibilities

• Independently process German payroll end to end according to defined standards and client requirements, including all associated payroll tasks
• Monitor and manage ticket queues with the right tools, keeping handling within defined timelines and thresholds
• Spot deviations from the standard scope of service and support change request opportunities
• Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
• Produce and understand standard and client-specific payroll reports, including statutory year-end reporting
• Review and validate data for accuracy and completeness, and initiate corrections
• Answer German payroll questions and requests, give knowledge transfer to peers, and support system maintenance testing
• Support technical issue coordination and resolution, and keep up to date with legislation, system updates and payroll procedures
• Take part in projects and activities as assigned

Required profile

• Around 2-3 years of relevant experience administering payroll in an HR consulting, HR outsourcing or corporate environment
• Very good English and German (B2 minimum)
• Current and future work authorization in the country of application, without visa sponsorship

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of payroll inputs and outputs such as third-party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, benefits and other areas integrating with payroll
• Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Risk identification and mitigation, attention to detail, flexibility in a global, fast-paced environment, excellent written and verbal skills, teamwork and self-motivation
