Human Factors Engineering and Flight Deck Specialist

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Human Factors Engineering and Flight Deck Specialist in Getafe. The role applies Human Factors Engineering to design user-centred workstations and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) for military aircraft platforms, such as cockpits, flight decks, mission consoles and ground control stations. It covers the full product life cycle, from early concept analysis to entry into service, and contributes to safety demonstration and certification.

Key responsibilities

• Design workstations (cockpits, flight decks, mission consoles and ground control stations), defining geometry, layout and furnishings.
• Design HMIs and multimodal interactions, including control units, indicators, displays and graphical user interfaces.
• Apply the end-to-end HFE process: mission analysis, task analysis, ergonomic analysis, workload analysis and human error analysis.
• Create HMI prototypes in hardware and software, such as virtual models, simulations and physical mock-ups.
• Carry out user-centred design reviews, demonstrations, validation and testing, and support qualification and certification.

Required profile

• Aeronautical or industrial engineering degree or a related discipline.
• Advanced level of English.
• Nice to have: CATIA end-user skills.
