Intern Auditor - Group Functions

About the role

Zurich Group Audit is looking for an Intern Auditor in its Group Functions team. The internship is paid, up to 30 hours per week with a flexible schedule, and lasts at least six months with the possibility of extension. It is based in Barcelona, and candidates must live in Madrid and be able to commute to the Barcelona location while remaining enrolled in university.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of audit engagements, including testing, data analysis and documentation of results in line with Group Audit Standards, under supervision.
• Participate in the day-to-day delivery of audits and maintain audit documentation in the internal audit tool.
• Perform assigned audit tasks and data analysis, and document audit tests and observations.
• Contribute to audit reports in line with Group Audit standards.
• Track audit progress and potential issues, and give regular project status updates, highlighting anticipated risks or issues.
• Help introduce new ideas and support improvements in operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's student in a business-related field (Economics, Accounting, Finance, etc.) with at least 4 completed semesters.
• Enrolled in university for the duration of the internship.
• Methodical, with attention to detail, strong analytical and data interpretation skills, and good professional ethics.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Ability to commit 25 hours per week (maximum 30) for at least six months.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills are an advantage.
• Data analytics tools are an advantage.
