Unit Linked & Pension Funds Internship

About the role

ServiZurich, part of Zurich Insurance Group and based in Barcelona since 2006, offers a paid internship in its Unit Linked and Pension Funds team. The intern works alongside experts in various technological domains, supports portfolio managers and contributes to daily operations, with availability of around 25 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Portfolio Managers in monitoring and controlling investment portfolios: portfolio monitoring and analysis, market dynamics, benchmark updates, risk and return metrics, and fund selection and monitoring.
• Help prepare reports and portfolio analyses, and collaborate in database management.
• Support the preparation of Unit Linked and Pension Fund reports, portfolio analysis and client meeting materials.
• Optimise and/or automate processes and tasks.
• Maintain and organise IM documentation.

Required profile

• Active student status at a Spanish university or school (mandatory).
• Studies in Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration or Engineering with knowledge of financial markets, or a master's degree in financial markets or investment fields.
• Ability to establish a collaboration agreement with the university or business school for at least 6 months, with possible extension.
• Availability of around 25 hours per week.
• Interest in the insurtech world and enthusiasm to learn.

Required skills

• Outstanding English, spoken and written.
• Desirable programming skills.
• Good level of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint).
