Intern, Cybersecurity, Forensic & Litigation Consulting

About the role

FTI Consulting is looking for an intern for its Cybersecurity Team in Madrid. As part of a relatively new, entrepreneurial team, you will help protect national and international clients from cyberattacks by supporting cyber incident response and forensic investigations. The internship is full-time, lasts 6 months and starts between January and March 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Support the response to cyber incidents and forensic investigations, helping the team with cyber incident management, evidence identification and seizure, data preservation, imaging and analysis, chain of custody maintenance, and malware and artifact analysis.
• Assist with regulatory compliance projects, including assessing organisations' compliance with cyber regulations and cyber transformation and maturity projects.
• Keep up with cybersecurity regulatory developments and analyse new and existing regulations for Spanish organisations.
• Contribute to written reports and updates for law firms, financial institutions and multinational corporations on cyber threats and trends, and help create client proposals and pitches.
• Support the team's marketing activities and develop an understanding of industry trends, threats, methods and technologies.

Required profile

• Graduation date after January 2024, able to commit 40 hours per week.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally with relevant coursework, certification or training in Cybersecurity, and ideally modules on digital forensics.
• Preferred: excellent academic background, fluency in Spanish and strong English, results-driven and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
