Internship: Carbon Fiber Challenge Project (Illescas)

About the role

Airbus is offering a curricular practicum internship for students in their final year of study, based in Illescas, Spain. The internship runs from February to July 2027, part-time at 5 hours per day (25 hours per week, 8h-13h), with a tutor assigned for continuous monitoring. The student prepares a final-year training project (TFG) on the carbon fiber challenge in Illescas, integrating this high-performance material into a sustainable future while balancing its environmental footprint with its functional advantages.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the impact of the process and propose short-term actions to reduce, recycle or reuse.
• Analyze how other Airbus sites and other industries or sectors address the problem.
• Propose a medium-term strategy.

Required profile

• Industrial engineering degree with a background in carbon materials.
• English at minimum level B2 (C1 desirable).
• Spanish at minimum level B1.
• Ability to work in an international environment.
