Internship: Digital Transformation & Process Standardization in Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

Airbus offers an internship (curricular practicum) for students in their final year of study, based in the Getafe area. The student prepares a final year training project (TFG) that completes their official studies, working in the Manufacturing Engineering Department. The internship runs from February to July 2027, part-time at 5 hours per day (25 hours per week, 8h-13h), with a tutor assigned for continuous monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and map manufacturing data coming from different streams (design, engineering and operations).
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance, standardize and digitally streamline departmental processes, supporting data-driven decisions.
• Learn operations and lean workflows from design definition to final assembly, and understand how digital standardization affects end-to-end efficiency of an aircraft final assembly line.
• Act as a bridge between stakeholders in Planning, Production Control and Operations, helping build consensus.
• Establish robust digital methodologies and document standard operating procedures for future continuity.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or related field (ITE).
• Fluent English.
