Investment & Strategy Analyst – Madrid

About the role

Dedale, a provider of strategic intelligence in the technology space, is expanding into Spain and is building its Madrid team. The Investment & Strategy Analyst position is open year-round and focuses on software and technology companies, with a strong emphasis on B2B software due diligence. The role sits within a team of over 100 research analysts and planners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research on software and technology companies.
• Perform strategic due diligence and financial analysis on publicly listed and privately owned software and technology companies.
• Combine quantitative modeling with qualitative insights generated through expert interviews.
• Collaborate with peers and former Tier 1 management consultants on the research.
• Produce high-quality deliverables supporting decisions on multi-million investments.
• Share research findings internally and externally.
• Monitor identified companies daily and prepare financial research, strategic screening and communication materials for members.
• Lead interviews in English with professional experts.
• Support process improvement and screening of new companies.

Required profile

• Tier 1 engineering or business school graduate specializing in business, corporate finance, engineering or strategy.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in strategy and business, with several internships in finance, tech, startups or corporate companies.
• Excellent analysis skills and strong strategic thinking.
• Strong oral and written communication in English; French, German or Italian is a plus.
• Passion for technology, innovation and investment.

Required skills

• Excellent Excel abilities.
• Ability to deliver strong verbal presentations and well-made slides.

The recruitment process includes a synthesis and Excel test, a first interview with an Associate, a case study and debrief with a Manager, and a final on-site interview with the Managing Director and the HR team.
