Investment & Strategy Associate

About the role

Dedale is a provider of strategic intelligence in the technology space, with a team of over 100 research analysts and planners drawing on a network of over 10,000 market professionals, focusing on North America and Europe. Its Research & Investment team has strong expertise in B2B software due diligence. The Investment & Strategy Associate conducts fundamental research and due diligence on software and technology companies, working alongside experienced former Tier 1 management consultants. The position is open year-round.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research on software and technology companies
• Perform strategic due diligence and financial analysis on publicly listed and privately owned software and technology companies
• Combine quantitative modeling with qualitative insights from expert interviews
• Prepare financial research, strategic screening and communication materials for members
• Lead interviews in English with professional experts
• Support process improvement and screening of new companies
• Monitor identified companies daily and communicate findings internally and externally
• Grow within the team and take on more responsibility

Required profile

• Tier 1 engineering or business school graduate specializing in business, corporate finance, engineering or strategy
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in strategy and business, with several internships in finance, tech, startups or corporate companies
• Excellent analysis skills and strong strategic thinking
• Strong oral and written communication in English; French, German or Italian is a plus
• Passion for technology, innovation and investment

The recruitment process includes a synthesis and Excel test, a first interview with an Associate, a case study and debrief with a Manager, and a final on-site interview with the Managing Director and the HR team.
