IT Strategy Consultant

About the role

Kyndryl is looking for an IT Strategy Consultant in Madrid to join its Consultant Profession and work on multi-disciplinary, complex consulting engagements. The consultant applies domain, technology and industry expertise, consulting techniques and cognitive approaches to analyse issues and create innovative solutions, advising customers on cloud and non-cloud technology options.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the customer's current state and define IT strategy, including key outcomes
• Design conceptual solutions and plan and execute design and implementation work with support from technical specialists
• Account for time, cost and quality targets
• Develop intellectual property, tools and white papers on specific domains
• Lead and assemble a team of consultants and architects, and capture lessons learned to update methodologies and assets
• Spearhead modernization programs covering people, culture, process and technology

Required profile

• Consulting experience with an IT professional services "big four" firm or similar, focused on IT strategy enablement
• Subject matter expertise in at least three domains such as cloud computing, IT strategy, infrastructure, IT operations, applications, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, automation, data management, AI/ML, IoT and cloud governance
• Customer-focused, growth mindset and inclusive approach to working with others

Required skills

• Knowledge of major cloud technologies including virtualization, containers and networking across cloud platforms
• Data modelling and analysis with tools such as Excel and Tableau
• Structured issue-based analysis producing recommendations and roadmaps
• Knowledge of IT operating model and process frameworks
• Workshop facilitation, presentations and interview skills
• Understanding of DevSecOps, Agile and Scrum
• Preferred: ITSM, ITIL or COBIT certification, business case, ROI and TCO analysis, and experience leading discovery workshops
