IT Support Specialist

About the role

Lear For You is looking for an IT Support Specialist in Vigo to provide hands-on technical support in a manufacturing environment. The role ensures reliable IT operations that keep production running, supporting end users, infrastructure, networks and production-critical systems while keeping systems available, secure and performing well.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support, troubleshooting and issue resolution for hardware, software and production systems
• Manage and prioritise incidents, service requests and open tasks through the corporate IT ticketing system
• Support end users with workplace technology, including training and guidance
• Install, upgrade and maintain computers, operating systems and business applications
• Monitor and support LAN/WAN infrastructure, and perform system monitoring, backups and routine maintenance
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures and knowledge base materials
• Support servers, workstations, laptops, telecom equipment and mobile devices, and resolve production-critical issues to minimise downtime
• Manage spare IT equipment inventory and coordinate preventative maintenance
• Support data flow and connectivity across shifts, including weekends or nights when required

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration or technical support
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience supporting servers, workstations, laptops and Cisco wired and wireless network infrastructure
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and VMware environments
• Legal authorisation to work in the country where the position is located
