Jefe/a de Restaurante – Fuerteventura Mar

About the role

The Restaurant Manager will lead the daily operations of the restaurant and bar at Barceló Fuerteventura Mar, ensuring high standards of service, hygiene and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the cleaning and preparation of equipment, utensils and service areas for food and beverage.
• Set up and clear tables for service.
• Oversee the work of sector heads and waitstaff, ensuring they fulfil their duties.
• Monitor personal hygiene, presentation and the cleanliness of the restaurant and bars.
• Control the mise en place and ensure all supplies are ready.
• Welcome guests, escort them to their tables and take orders when needed.
• Promote and sell menu items that align with company objectives.
• Conduct inventories of furniture, crockery, cutlery and linen.
• Prepare purchase proposals and place orders as directed.
• Schedule staff shifts, manage hiring and terminations.
• Participate in billing, cash handling, reconciliation and cash‑up procedures.
• Report any quality or presentation issues to superiors.

Required profile

• Medium or higher level vocational training in Hospitality/Restaurant Management or a degree in Tourism.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
• High proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven capability to lead and manage teams.
