Junior Data Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

T-Systems Iberia is looking for a skilled Junior Data Engineer to join its DBIZ team. The Technik Value Stream teams are responsible for data ingestion on ODE, developing the relevant data products on ODE and operating them. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, including Shared VPC, Hub-and-Spoke networks, IAM, Secret Manager, firewalls, Identity-Aware Proxy, DNS, VPN and load balancing.
• Use Hadoop clusters with Hive for querying data and PySpark for transformations, and orchestrate jobs with Airflow.
• Manage core GCP services such as GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Compute Engine and Composer via Terraform, and build Python applications for them.
• Integrate and manage GitLab Magenta CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing and configuration of data pipelines.
• Implement security measures, manage IAM policies and secrets, and enforce identity-aware policies.
• Integrate data sources from CDI, FTP servers, TARDIS APIs and Google Cloud Storage.
• Deploy workloads across DEV, TEST and PROD environments, and implement AI solutions with Vertex AI.

Required profile

• Certified GCP Cloud Architect or Data Engineer (beneficial).
• Familiarity with GCP, Terraform, Python, GitLab CI/CD, Hive, PySpark and Airflow.
• Knowledge of network architectures, security implementations and core GCP services.
• Ability to handle diverse data sources and multi-environment deployments.
