Junior Financial Transactions Analyst

About the role

EY GDS Spain is hiring a Junior Financial Transactions Analyst for its Strategy & Transactions team, based in Malaga and working in a hybrid format. You will work closely with EY Spain professionals on high-impact projects across the financial services sector, contributing to financial analysis, market research and due diligence that support clients' business and investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support transaction and due diligence projects by carrying out financial and business research.
• Analyse financial information, market trends and industry developments.
• Prepare reports, presentations and deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in projects related to banking, financing, asset management and financial services.
• Collaborate with EY teams in Spain to deliver quality analysis within deadlines.
• Develop insights that help clients assess opportunities, risks and investment decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration (ADE), Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial statements.
• Interest in corporate finance, banking, transactions and financial services.
• High level of English (B2-C1).
• Ideal candidates: Master's degree in Banking, Finance, Financial Markets, Insurance, Economic Analysis or similar; previous internship or work experience in finance, banking, advisory, audit, consulting or corporate finance; progress toward or plans to pursue the CFA qualification.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Numerical skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ideal: knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, VBA or other analytical tools.
