Junior Operations Specialist (FinOps)

About the role

Click&Boat, a rental platform of Boats Group and the European leader in boat rentals, is hiring a Junior Operations Specialist to join its FinOps team in the Barcelona office. The team sits at the intersection of Operations, Payments and Customer Experience, and works daily with Supply (boat owners), Sales (tenants and bookings) and Customer Care. The role is about keeping money flowing correctly, on time and without friction.

Key responsibilities

• Operations and cash management (about 60%): review and manage customer payments and partner payouts, handle booking changes and ensure commissions, amounts and currencies are correct, supervise daily payment flows handled by interns, resolve complex or high-impact cases outside standard procedures, and validate large payment batches and exceptional transfers.
• Reporting and analysis (about 20%): prepare simple KPIs such as cash flows, disputes and cancellations, own monthly reconciliations and contribute to monthly closing tasks on tenant and owner balances.
• Process improvement and projects (about 10%): identify friction points in payment or reconciliation processes, help automate and simplify manual workflows, document processes and update the internal knowledge base.
• Team support and coordination (about 10%): train and support finance interns and act as a reference point on operational topics.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of experience, ideally in operations, admin, finance ops, payroll, data, customer ops or a startup environment.
• Enjoys numbers and solving concrete problems, and is comfortable working with Excel and data.
• Reliable, structured and detail-oriented, with good communication skills.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish or French is a big plus.
