Junior Sustainability Analyst - Carbon & ESG Projects

About the role

EY GDS Spain is hiring a Junior Sustainability Analyst for its GDS Spain office in Malaga, working on hybrid basis. The role supports sustainability projects focused on carbon footprint assessment and environmental compliance, analysing operational and financial information from companies so they can measure, understand and improve their environmental impact.

Key responsibilities

• Support carbon footprint and sustainability assessment projects across different industries
• Analyse operational, environmental and financial data to evaluate compliance with sustainability requirements and standards
• Help prepare reports, presentations and client deliverables
• Interpret large volumes of information and draw relevant conclusions and recommendations
• Work with project teams on sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives
• Present findings clearly using Excel and PowerPoint
• Keep up to date with sustainability trends, ESG frameworks and environmental reporting requirements

Required profile

• Degree or ongoing studies in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering or a similar technical discipline
• Strong analytical ability to interpret technical and business data
• High level of English (B2-C1)
• Ideal: Master's degree (MBA, Sustainability, Energy, Environment, Industrial Management or similar)
• Ideal: internship or project experience in sustainability, ESG, energy efficiency, environmental management or industrial processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and structured thinking
• Communication and presentation skills
• Ideal: knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools
