About the role
Hexcel, a global leader in advanced composite materials including carbon fiber, resins, prepregs and honeycombs, is looking for a Laboratory Engineer (replacement) for its Parla site in Spain. The person selected will manage the physicochemical and mechanical laboratory and support certification targets.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the physicochemical and mechanical laboratory to achieve certification targets
- Maintain and upgrade GLIMS as needed
- Support the plant, customers or other Hexcel sites on issues related to results or lab testing
- Coordinate continuous training of lab technicians and the recruitment of new lab staff
- Review customer and internal testing specifications and release test requirements
Required profile
- Experience as a group coordinator
- Degree in Chemistry or Engineering
- Experience in composite testing
- English speaking
- Eligibility to work in the country where the position is based
Required skills
- Advanced level in data software such as Microsoft and Minitab
