Quality Assurance Supervisor

About the role

Hexcel, a global leader in advanced composite materials including carbon fiber, honeycombs and prepregs, is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager for its Parla site in Spain. The person selected will be responsible for quality planning, document control, supplier specifications and audits of the quality management system.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and develop Quality Plans covering receiving, manufacturing processes and inspections to ensure compliance with product and process requirements.
• Manage document control, maintain the document archive and handle non-conformities detected in products or services from raw material suppliers.
• Generate and review raw material purchase specifications from suppliers.
• Attend customer and certification body audits of Hexcel-Parla's Quality Management System.
• Manage and attend externally contracted internal quality audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
• Issue periodic reports on quality efficiency and costs, and manage non-conformities and corrective actions from internal, customer and certification audits.

Required profile

• Graduate in Science or Engineering.
• Completion of a course on ISO 9001 and EN 9100 standards is considered necessary.
• Advanced English.
• Eligibility to work in the country where the position is based.

Required skills

• Knowledge of quality standards (ISO standards, calibrations, customer specifications).
• Statistical process control.
• Quality system auditor training or seminar according to ISO 9001 and EN 9100.
• Knowledge of composite materials.
• Computer skills and knowledge of current Windows OS applications, servers and workstations.
