Machine Learning Engineer (MLOps & AI Integration)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to bridge the gap between Data Science proof‑of‑value projects and enterprise‑scale production. You will work in the Digital Innovation Team, collaborating with IT and international hubs to industrialise AI solutions on OpenShift and GCP.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement CI/CD pipelines for moving ML models from PoV to production on OpenShift (on‑premise) and GCP.
• Integrate GenAI, chatbots and LLM‑based APIs into business applications, managing data ingestion pipelines for RAG architectures.
• Set up monitoring dashboards (Grafana/Kibana) to track model health, API performance and data drift, and optimise CPU/GPU resource usage.
• Create “starter kits” (Docker/Git templates) for Data Science PoVs and resolve complex dependency issues.
• Act as the technical liaison between the Innovation team and Albacete IT, translating compute needs into architecture specifications while ensuring cybersecurity compliance.

Required profile

• 3‑4+ years of full‑time industry experience in Machine Learning Engineering, MLOps or Software Engineering within a corporate environment.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Artificial Intelligence.
• Highly autonomous, strong team player, able to bridge Data Science and IT perspectives.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; French or German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Marignane (France) and Donauwörth (Germany).
