Maintenance Engineer – Electromechanical

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong electromechanical background to ensure the reliability and efficiency of production equipment and industrial facilities in the Valencian Community. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing faults, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and scheduled maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and industrial facilities.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults to maintain equipment reliability.
• Conduct routine inspections to detect wear, defects, and potential failures before they affect operations.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, downtime, spare‑parts usage and corrective actions in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Monitor inventory and manage the efficient use of spare parts and consumables.
• Maintain tools, equipment and workshop areas in a clean, organized and safe condition.
• Collaborate with production teams to plan maintenance work and minimise operational disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and company maintenance standards, including proper use of PPE.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, modification and relocation of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects by identifying opportunities to optimise maintenance processes and equipment performance.

Required profile

• Vocational training (intermediate or advanced) in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience performing electromechanical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial automation systems.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
