Managing Director – Global Head of Origination, Wholesale Banking Cash Management

About the role

The Managing Director will lead the global origination function for Cash Management within Wholesale Banking, focusing on large corporate and multinational clients. Based in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), the role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on client engagement to drive growth across cash management, payments and liquidity solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global origination strategy for Cash Management.
• Drive revenue growth by expanding existing relationships and identifying new business opportunities in domestic and cross‑border markets.
• Build and manage a high‑quality pipeline, converting strategic opportunities into sustainable revenue.
• Originate and structure complex cash management, payments and liquidity solutions tailored to multinational treasury needs.
• Serve as a senior relationship partner to key clients, engaging at C‑suite and senior treasury levels.
• Coordinate with product, coverage, risk and operations teams across more than ten countries.

Required profile

• Senior executive with a proven track record in wholesale banking, cash management or treasury.
• Strong client‑facing experience with large corporates and multinationals.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑border teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to risk management.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of cash management, payments and liquidity solutions.
• Experience structuring complex financial products for multinational treasury requirements.
• Understanding of regulatory and risk frameworks governing wholesale banking.
