Managing Editor - French Speaker

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring an experienced Editorial Executive (Managing Editor) for its Secret Media Network, which covers cities around the world. The role leads the French and Belgian markets, reports to the VP of Media and manages a growing team of editors, writers, video producers and social media creatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own the scope of responsibility for the French and Belgian markets and manage the team through 1-on-1 coaching and clear workflows.
• Craft and execute a creative vision for the entire Secret Media Network and set editorial standards with the editors, writers and video/social teams.
• Analyze city data against internal KPIs and use it to inform strategy, and identify editorial partnership opportunities.
• Coordinate, assign and prioritize editorial work, collaborate with other Fever departments and develop audience-growth strategies.
• Build and optimize a content-driven conversion funnel that links storytelling, formats, distribution and audience insights to measurable conversions.

Required profile

• English proficiency and native-level French.
• +5 years of experience in a newsroom, content agency, creative agency or digital media property.
• Minimum 2 years of team management experience and strong leadership skills.
• Passion for journalism, social media and digital marketing, with a solid understanding of the business and its revenue goals.

Required skills

• Media mapping and collaboration with advertising, media and TV/animation agencies.
• Digital fluency across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X and similar platforms.
• Understanding of optimization technologies, AI-driven processes and workflow automation.
• Preferred: WordPress, Photoshop, Canva and other image/video editing tools.
