Senior Editorial Manager

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring an experienced Editorial Executive (listed as Senior Editorial Manager) to lead content creation for its media outlets as it expands into new markets. The role reports directly to the VP of Media and manages a growing team of editors, writers, video producers and social media creatives. The position is based in Madrid.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and take full responsibility for the strategy and growth of the Southern Europe market.
• Manage the team through 1-on-1 coaching, clear workflows and individual feedback.
• Craft, communicate and execute a creative vision for the entire Secret Media Network.
• Work with editors, staff writers and the video and social team to uphold editorial standards and the brand's tone of voice.
• Elevate content in established cities and identify editorial partnerships to reach a wider audience.
• Analyze regional data against internal KPIs and use it to inform strategy.
• Coordinate, assign and prioritize editorial work, collaborate with other Fever departments and develop audience-growth strategies.
• Build and optimize a content-driven conversion funnel that links storytelling, formats, distribution and audience insights to measurable conversions.

Required profile

• +5 years of experience in a newsroom, content agency, creative agency or digital media property.
• Minimum 2 years of team management experience.
• Passion for journalism, especially at the local level, social media and digital marketing.
• English proficiency; other languages are a plus.
• Ability to inspire creative teams and present ideas clearly.

Required skills

• Media mapping and collaboration with advertising, media and TV/animation agencies.
• Digital fluency across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X and similar platforms.
• Data-driven approach and solid writing skills.
• Understanding of optimization technologies, AI-driven processes and workflow automation.
• Preferred: WordPress, Photoshop, Canva and image/video editing tools.
