Manufacturing Quality Engineer

About the role

LuxQuanta is looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to build and continuously improve quality systems for its quantum hardware. You will ensure reliability, precision and regulatory compliance as the company moves from low‑volume prototyping to scaled production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop ISO 9001/AS9100‑aligned quality systems for quantum hardware production.
• Run statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) across cryogenics, photonics, superconducting circuits and vacuum technologies.
• Qualify and audit critical suppliers, manage non‑conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Lead root‑cause investigations using SEM, X‑ray and microscopy, and close CAPA cycles with R&D.
• Define reliability test protocols, acceptance criteria and support new product introductions.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations and Sales to translate designs into manufacturable processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related field.
• 3–8 years of manufacturing quality engineering experience in semiconductors, photonics, precision hardware, aerospace or medical devices.
• Proven track record taking products from prototype to volume production.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 and AS9100 knowledge.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Reliability testing methods.
• Failure analysis tools: SEM, X‑ray, microscopy.
• 8D and FMEA investigation techniques.
• Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing (preferred).
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
