Material Support Services Representative (LTA) - Matacan, Salamanca

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Material Support Services Representative (LTA) to work full-time at the Matacan Military Air Base in Salamanca, Spain. The role is the main on-site liaison between Airbus and the Customer under the DCare contract, combining logistical expertise with technical understanding to keep the fleet available and compliant with contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Customer's dedicated on-site contact, building trust-based relationships and making sure their material needs are understood and met.
• Deliver material support services (spares, AGEs, repairs and ISS) in line with the DCare contract requirements and its Service Level Agreements.
• Link the Customer's maintenance units with the internal supply chain and engineering directorates, using MRO expertise to communicate effectively.
• Monitor and drive the material readiness of the LTA fleet, spotting supply gaps early and acting quickly to minimise operational impact.
• Track and report KPIs and service levels, keeping on-site activity aligned with contractual and military operational standards.
• Provide immediate on-site troubleshooting and manage escalations to headquarters for major issues.
• Manage the end-to-end flow of spares and repairs, run regular on-site meetings with military personnel, oversee local material processes and give regular reports to the Customer and internal management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in customer-facing roles, contract management or supply chain operations; direct MRO experience is a significant asset.
• Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; full professional proficiency in Spanish is essential for daily interaction with the local customer.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with professional maturity and the ability to represent the company in a military setting.
