Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Diamond Foundry Inc. is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Gas Systems engineering team in Zaragoza. You will translate senior designers' concepts into detailed, fabrication‑ready drawings for process skids, test‑bench equipment, and mechanical assemblies supporting pilot‑line and facility projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings for gas handling and conversion equipment using SolidWorks.
• Evaluate material choices and fabrication processes to meet gas service requirements and European regulations.
• Collaborate with senior designers, facilities, process, and automation teams to meet project deadlines.
• Support the full project lifecycle from concept through procurement and as‑built documentation.
• Maintain drawing registers, enforce revision control, and archive design documentation per company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Design.
• 3–5 years of experience as a mechanical designer in high‑tech industrial environments.
• Proven ability to produce fabrication‑ready drawing packages.
• Experience with process or gas systems, skids, and installation/commissioning support.
