MRTT Ground Support Equipment Engineer

About the role

A vacancy for a TASSE64 Ground Support Equipment Engineer has opened within Airbus Defence & Space's Service organisation. The successful candidate joins the MRTT GSE department in Getafe (Madrid area), which identifies, designs, develops and validates the ground support equipment needed for aircraft operation and maintenance, and supports customers in their daily use of GSE at air bases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical specifications and collect requirements
• Support supplier selection and follow up on design and prototype manufacturing
• Validate equipment on the aircraft and run qualification and compatibility tests
• Prepare GSE recommendations for customers and evaluate their existing GSE capabilities through site surveys
• Provide technical assistance to customers and support other departments
• Handle GSE customer queries in the AMTAC back office and support installation and commissioning at customer air bases
• Analyse aircraft modifications and their impact on developed GSEs

Required profile

• Fluent English and Spanish (spoken and written)
• Strong teamwork, good verbal and communication skills, flexibility and creativity
• Willingness to work in different environments, travel and in multinational teams
• Entry level experience
