Oracle EPM Specialist

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is hiring an Oracle EPM Specialist for its Corporate IT team in Madrid. The role covers the technical and functional development of Hyperion products (Planning, Essbase and HFM), maintains and deploys small developments and works as part of a team of specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Review business requirements and specifications, gather requirements and prepare implementation plans and system documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities, including metadata, member lists, FX rates, business rules and validation checks.
• Supervise maintenance of EPM applications: metadata management, calculation scripts, business rules, reports and dashboards.
• Manage and monitor incidents and requests, follow escalation procedures, attend service meetings and run service quality checks.
• Ensure development estimates from partners are reasonable and maintain access and security configurations in line with auditor and internal control standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, solution architects, delivery managers and the application outsourcer.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT or computer science, or equivalent high-level degree.
• Minimum 3 years' experience developing Hyperion or related EPM products such as Financial Planning and Budgeting, Essbase, HFM or EPM Technical Architecture.
• Experience in EPM development at any stage of the lifecycle; Oracle EPM Cloud experience is desirable.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences; business analysis experience is desirable.
