Pastelero/a para hotel en Las Palmas

About the role

We are looking for a Pastry Chef to join the kitchen team at Barceló Margaritas in Las Palmas. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a wide range of desserts, pastries and doughs according to the hotel’s menu specifications. This position reports to the Head Chef and works in a dynamic hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all dessert and sweet recipes, as well as pastries and doughs, following technical sheets and menu rotations.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the pastry section under the supervision of the Head Chef.
• Assist in cost control, inventory management and purchasing for the pastry and bakery area.
• Carry out cleaning, storage, cooking, regeneration and replenishment processes for pastry products.
• Prepare and arrange products for buffets, banquets and events.
• Support receipt and storage of food items according to established standards.
• Perform tasks in compliance with safety, hygiene and current legislation.

Required profile

• Formal training: Higher Level Vocational Training in Cooking & Gastronomy and/or Pastry, plus an APPCC course.
• Minimum of one year experience in a similar pastry position.
• No language requirement.
• Team‑working attitude, creativity, stress tolerance and problem‑solving ability.
• Attention to detail and meticulous execution of tasks.

Required skills

• APPCC (HACCP) knowledge.
