PCB Applications Engineer

About the role

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS), a worldwide leader in integrated power semiconductors and systems power delivery architectures, is looking for a highly self-motivated PCB Applications Engineer in Barcelona. The engineer supports the development of PCBs for a range of applications, from high-power to automotive, working with application engineers to deliver efficient, compact designs that meet EMC compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design printed circuit boards (PCBs) for power solutions ranging from high power to automotive customers.
• Manage schematic components, 3D models and footprint libraries.
• Collaborate with application engineers to meet power density, cost and EMC requirements.
• Work with the simulation team to improve parasitic components in the PCB design.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Solid understanding and experience in PCB design.
• Oral and written English proficiency.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Altium and OrCAD for schematic and PCB design, up to 12 layers.
• Knowledge of PCB design and power electronics.
