Product Operations Lead

About the role

Roche is looking for a Product Operations Lead (POL) within the Project Management chapter of Roche Informatics (RIS). The role is the operational backbone of a Life Cycle, making sure that strategy translates cleanly into execution while shielding product teams from operational overhead. It is based in Sant Cugat (Spain) or Vienna.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure strategic traceability across the Life Cycle, linking Portfolio and Life Cycle objectives and cascading context to product groups.
• Establish consistent frameworks for measuring business outcomes, from strategy to product epics.
• Maintain a single, consolidated data source for investments, business viability, capacity and risks, and partner with Portfolio Management and Business Operations to give executives decision-ready visibility.
• Keep execution systems (Jira, Orion, Monday.com) consistent and free of manual overhead.
• Analyse operational metrics to spot bottlenecks early, and facilitate risk and opportunity management (ROMA) and critical integration points between Life Cycles.
• Track high-level dependencies and remove cross-team impediments as a servant leader.
• Drive adoption of the RIS Operating Model (PLCF and mQMS) and integrate its frameworks into standard workflows.
• Refine and simplify operational processes with RIS Business Operations.

Required profile

• 7+ years in diagnostics, life sciences or related fields in project management, product operations or similar roles.
• Scientific, engineering or business background with a strong operational mindset.
• Deep understanding of lifecycle management, product development and product care in a complex portfolio.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and strong analytical skills.
• Fluent English, verbal and written; willingness to travel 5-15%.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Planisware, Jira, MS Office and G-Suite.
• Familiarity with Orion, Trello or similar tools is a plus.
