Product Stream Operations Manager (PSOM)
mdlz · Barcelona
Job description
About the role
Mondelēz Digital Services (MDS) is looking for a Product Stream Operations Manager (PSOM) in Barcelona. The PSOM is a governance, orchestration and enablement function within the Product Oriented Enterprise Transformation model, operating at the MDS Marketing, Sales and eCommerce Product Stream level. It does not own product roadmaps or make investment decisions unilaterally; instead it runs governance forums, keeps financial visibility and resolves cross-team friction so delivery teams can perform. The role reports to the Marketing, Sales, eCommerce and Regional CIO for Europe.
Key responsibilities
- Run the operating rhythm of the product stream: reviews, planning sessions and governance meetings on schedule and productive.
- Aggregate and triage demand from business stakeholders before council review.
- Cross-check roadmaps across Product Groups and maintain an integrated stream roadmap view.
- Co-chair the Product Council and Platform Council, set agendas, ensure clear decisions and distribute minutes and decision logs within 48 hours.
- Enable TCO reporting at stream, product group, product and platform levels, tracking actuals versus forecast and flagging variances.
- Support the Product Stream Lead with the annual investment submission, including capacity assumptions, TCO projections and value realisation cases.
- Present stream-level performance data (demand fulfilment rate, backlog health, delivery velocity, OKR progress) to governance forums and leadership.
- Work with senior stakeholders such as the Product Stream Lead, Platform Line Lead, Product Group Managers and the OCIDO Portfolio & Investments Manager.
Required profile
- 8+ years in IT, digital or technology operations, with at least 3 years in governance, portfolio or product operations managing cross-functional teams, preferably in consumer goods.
- Deep understanding of product-centric operating models, demand management, backlog health and value realisation.
- Familiarity with SAFe, LeSS or equivalent scaled agile approaches.
- Proven experience with TCO modelling, investment tracking, actuals-vs-forecast reporting and annual planning.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, Computer Science or a related field; Agile, Product or Portfolio certifications are a plus.
Required skills
- Facilitating senior governance forums and managing demand intake and prioritisation.
- Proficiency with portfolio and product management tools such as Jira Align or ServiceNow, and reporting/dashboards.
The role may involve some international travel; country-to-country relocation support is available through Global Mobility Policies.
