Project Manager Eventos y Grupos – Clúster Ventas Cataluña

About the role

Barceló Group is seeking a Project Manager for Events and Groups to lead the Catalonia Sales Cluster. You will be the main point of contact for MICE sales, ensuring flawless execution of group events across our hotel portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and thoroughly review event dossiers from MICE Sales Executives.
• Coordinate all operational details of group events, including audio, set‑ups, menus, allergy requirements, materials and services.
• Hire and manage external providers for services not available in‑house.
• Maintain up‑to‑date reservation systems for rooms and meeting spaces.
• Review contractual terms, manage changes and cancellations.
• Track pending payments and optimise services and installations according to hotel needs.
• Create service orders in the PMS, transfer all client information and documentation to the hotel team.

Required profile

• Degree in Tourism or a related field, plus a postgraduate qualification from a Business School.
• Minimum two years of experience in commercial or sales departments.
• High‑level English proficiency (mandatory).
• User‑level proficiency with office applications.
• Knowledge of OPERA PMS is valued.
• Active listening, discretion, stress tolerance and strong interpersonal skills.
