Recruitment Specialist – Madrid Cluster

About the role

Cognita, a global independent education group with 90 schools in 20 countries, is looking for an experienced Recruitment Specialist to support its Madrid cluster in Spain. This is a permanent, full-time position with an immediate start date. You will deliver end-to-end recruitment across the cluster schools, working with HR Business Partners, school leaders and central teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from vacancy approval through to a successful first day.
• Sourcing, interviewing, offer management, pre-employment checks and onboarding coordination.
• Take ownership of urgent hiring needs and build and maintain talent pipelines for planned and last-minute staffing.
• Drive proactive sourcing for hard-to-fill teaching and specialist positions.
• Focus on candidate experience, stakeholder partnership and continuous improvement, adapting to each school's needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment, ideally in education or a multi-site organisation.
• Comfortable handling several vacancies at once and responding quickly to urgent needs.
• Strong stakeholder management with school leaders, HR teams and candidates.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of ownership.
• Advantageous: international schools experience, knowledge of safeguarding requirements and familiarity with platforms such as TES.
