Risk & Compliance Director

About the role

We are looking for a Risk & Compliance Director to lead the second line of defence for Getnet Platforms, a Santander Payment Solutions business. The role will embed risk considerations into strategic planning and support the growth of our payments ecosystem across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Second Line of Defense risk oversight and independent challenge across Getnet Platforms.
• Advise executive business and technology stakeholders, embedding risk considerations into strategic planning and business transformation initiatives.
• Oversee independent risk assessments for transformations, migrations, partnerships, product launches and other strategic initiatives.
• Maintain an enterprise‑wide view of the risk profile, identifying emerging risks, concentrations, interdependencies and forward‑looking trends.
• Consolidate insights from Technology, Cybersecurity, Financial Crime, Regulatory Compliance, Third‑Party and Operational Risk to provide an integrated view of the payments risk profile.
• Coordinate complex cross‑functional risk initiatives and oversee action plans arising from risk reviews, regulatory engagements and assurance activities.
• Represent Risk & Compliance in executive governance forums, providing balanced, independent and pragmatic risk opinions.
• Strengthen the risk framework, governance, reporting, oversight practices and risk culture in line with business growth and regulatory expectations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in payments risk, compliance or related financial services domains.
• Proven ability to advise senior executives and influence strategic decisions.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capability to identify emerging risks and trends.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple functions and geographies.
