Rooms Director

About the role

The Rooms Director serves as the strategic leader of the property's Rooms department, overseeing all aspects of room operations, revenue management, and guest experience. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures that the department meets brand standards, drives profitability, and delivers exceptional service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Rooms team, communicating clear departmental goals and brand service vision.
• Monitor and promote room rates, specials, and promotions to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Analyze service issues, identify trends, and develop operational strategies aligned with the brand’s business objectives.
• Review financial statements, audit expenses, and manage profitability of the Rooms department.
• Coach the team on occupancy, rate management, wage control, and controllable expenses to meet budget targets.
• Ensure outstanding customer service by reviewing guest feedback and implementing corrective actions.

Required profile

• Either a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree in the same fields with at least 2 years of experience.
• Experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales & marketing, or management operations within a hospitality environment.
