Salesforce Developer (Sales Cloud & CPQ)
ddn · Madrid
Job description
About the role
A Salesforce engineering team in Madrid is hiring a developer focused on Sales Cloud and Salesforce CPQ. You will build and support the tools used by global sales, sales operations and deal desk teams, from lead and opportunity management through configuring, pricing and quoting complex hardware, software and support offerings. The role suits someone who takes ownership of work end to end, with mentorship from Solution Architects and senior developers and a clear path into senior Quote-to-Cash and platform engineering roles.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain Sales Cloud solutions (leads, accounts, contacts, opportunities, products and price books, forecasting, territory management, process automation) using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows and configuration.
- Configure and extend Salesforce CPQ: product catalog and bundles, product rules, price rules, discount schedules, quote templates and approval workflows, including Advanced Approvals.
- Support the opportunity-to-quote-to-order flow, including renewals, amendments and contract lifecycle.
- Own features end to end: shape requirements with Sales Ops, Deal Desk and Finance, build, test, deploy and support in production.
- Partner with architects and senior developers on design and code reviews, and ensure unit test coverage.
- Build integrations between Salesforce and ERP, billing and other systems, and troubleshoot AppExchange managed packages.
- Work with the integration/middleware team on contracts and cross-system flows.
- Manage your own deployments via Git, SFDX and CI/CD (Gearset or Copado).
- Share production support for the Sales Cloud and CPQ stack, and use AI tools in daily work.
Required profile
- 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development, with at least 2 years on Salesforce CPQ (formerly Steelbrick).
- Strong Sales Cloud knowledge and production-grade Apex (triggers, async patterns, governor limits, SOQL/SOSL).
- Hands-on Lightning Web Components, with working knowledge of Aura and Visualforce.
- Strong declarative automation with Flows, and sound data model and security fundamentals.
- Custom integrations (REST/SOAP, OAuth, Platform Events, CDC, Bulk/Streaming APIs) and Git, SFDX and CI/CD (Gearset or Copado).
- Fluent English; additional European languages welcome but not required.
- Nice to have: hardware/storage/networking software background, Revenue Cloud or billing exposure, experience with CPQ, Advanced Approvals, Conga Composer, Slack, Vartopia, MDQ, MuleSoft/Boomi/Workato, CLM or tax engines, and prior use of AI development tools.
Required skills
- Salesforce CPQ (bundles, pricing, product rules, discount schedules, quote templates)
- Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flows
- Git, SFDX, Gearset or Copado
- Preferred: Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I, Administrator, CPQ Specialist, Revenue Cloud Consultant)
