SAP Basis Manager

About the role

Lear Corporation is looking for an SAP Basis Manager in Valls. The role oversees the administration, performance and reliability of SAP systems across the enterprise, covering system installations, upgrades, configurations and maintenance. It also involves managing the internal SAP Basis team and the performance of a third-party service provider handling SAP Basis operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the SAP Basis team and operations across all SAP landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, SRM, BTP, SuccessFactors, PI/PO, Solution Manager, GRC, etc.)
• Oversee and govern third-party service providers delivering SAP Basis services, and ensure compliance with their SLAs, KPIs and contractual obligations
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations and patches with vendors and internal teams
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure high availability and reliability
• Work with SAP functional and technical teams on project implementations and ongoing operations
• Manage backups, disaster recovery planning and security protocols
• Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to ISMS and other frameworks
• Contribute to SAP architecture and infrastructure planning, and support audit and compliance activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Proven expertise in SAP Basis administration and support
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage and develop teams
• Track record of managing third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring quality and SLA compliance
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills
