Secondary Teacher – Humanities (Cover)

About the role

The British School of Málaga is seeking a cover Secondary Teacher for Humanities. You will join a collaborative team, delivering engaging lessons and supporting student wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and email lesson plans to the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator.
• Prepare and organise class materials and maintain a decorated, resource‑rich classroom.
• Enter grades promptly, design monthly assessments and grade all assigned work.
• Supervise playground duties and record daily attendance.
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department and Academic Coordinator to support students with academic, behavioural or special needs.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, parent meetings and school activities.
• Facilitate community service projects, fairs and fundraising initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
• Advanced English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
• Commitment to safeguarding, diversity and inclusion principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools.
• Intermediate‑level Microsoft Office skills.
