Senior Cloud Architect T Cloud Public

About the role

T-Systems Iberia is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to develop and extend its T Cloud Public platform. The role is customer-oriented and focuses on the latest developments in cloud and container technology. It is a full-time position based in Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Improve the platform architecture while taking IT security seriously.
• Design and develop innovative platform and software-as-a-service features.
• Act as a trusted advisor for OpenStack-based public cloud technology.
• Work hands-on on a console to back your architectural work.
• Automate consistently using common automation frameworks.
• Work in a team of specialists in an open and trusting way.

Required profile

• Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training.
• 11 years of professional experience in IT with a focus on modern cloud technologies.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Strong customer orientation, mentoring and presentation skills, and ability to assess technical solutions creatively.

Required skills

• Very good knowledge of software, cloud and container architectures.
• Deep experience in infrastructure automation.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux, system tools and network-related services.
• Knowledge of agile development processes.
• OpenStack and programming experience in OpenSource projects are a plus.
