Senior Data Engineer – SAP BI & Palantir Foundry

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join its Digital Campus in Albacete. You will work within the Data & Analytics team, bridging the industrial core (SAP BW) with the advanced big‑data platform Palantir Foundry, and contribute to the digital continuity of the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all Agile ceremonies and deliver “Definition of Done” increments as part of an Agile Release Train.
• Design and develop complex data models in SAP BW on HANA/BW/4HANA, handling ABAP extractions and CDS views.
• Build and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines in Palantir Foundry using PySpark and SQL, creating a structured ontology for operational decisions.
• Ensure seamless, low‑latency data flow between SAP and Foundry while preserving data integrity.
• Apply DevOps/DataOps practices: code reviews, automated testing, and documentation.
• Contribute to architectural “Enabler” stories to extend the Data & Analytics platform.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong background in SAP BW, HANA, and ABAP development.
• Hands‑on experience with big‑data technologies, especially PySpark and SQL.
• Proven ability to work in cross‑functional Agile teams.
• Fluent English communication skills.
